These difficulties began after I altered my Windows registry (I tried to play Fallout 4 but the Xbox App refused due to outdated Gaming Services). Essentially, the updates didn’t arrive, and the only way to get the latest version was by manually editing the registry and reinstalling Windows. After restarting, I encountered a black screen when logging in. I had to reinstall Windows entirely while preserving my files to restore my desktop. It’s puzzling how a single registry change could cause such problems. My monitor seems likely responsible for the black screens, yet the system feels sluggish. I assumed it was hardware-related, so I upgraded my previous AMD CPU (2700x) to a 5950x and replaced my motherboard with an MSI MEG ACE MAX x570. I also performed clean installs of both Windows 10 and Windows 11, but the issues persist. Now every component—motherboard, CPU, RAM, power supply, GPU, M.2 SSDs—is replaced, yet problems continue. Through extensive testing, I’m getting closer to understanding the root cause: This article was published last year suggesting upcoming BIOS updates would resolve it. Despite being on the latest BIOS, the fix remains elusive, leading me to suspect hardware faults, possibly related to AMD USB ports or CPU-Win11 compatibility. I’m considering whether a switch to Intel might help. Here are some Firestrike test results with HWinfo screenshots from Windows 10, plus videos of my issues: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...drive_link. If anyone can assist, that would be greatly appreciated.
