Do you have any new ideas to add?
Hello there,
It's been a while. I'm selecting parts for my new machine and would like to gather feedback from others, as well as ideas for better improvements or cheaper alternatives that don't affect quality.
You can find my list on Amazon here: www.amazon.com
Thanks a lot for all the helpful suggestions.
It seems like you're checking if the setup matches your needs. If it does, consider what you'll use the PC for most—list them from most to least important.
This PC is mainly used for work, remote access, and everyday tasks. But I occasionally enjoy playing games. The main goal here isn’t the gaming itself, but achieving a decent 4k resolution. All the components I’m considering are top choices online. I’ve spent a few days comparing them. There’s a new game expected in September or possibly November, which is the day before division 2. I’ll also be playing Stalker 2 in December. My usual choice is Sniper Elite 5.
The graphics card is highly recommended and will support the monitor’s resolution. I think this is why I’m here—perhaps someone can suggest an even better option at a lower cost, but I also want the newest technology.
I welcome any advice and appreciate your response.
I’m based in the USA.
For gaming or production gaming?
if it was me personally i’d stay away from Intel until the 15th now. 7900x or 7800x3d if just for gaming on a 670e or decent b650.
but i’d change the 13900k for a more affordable CPU if the 4070 ti was due to budget constraints and opt for a 7900xtx or 7900xt or even a 4080.
This is the core of your issue.
By nature, that curve clashes with the urge for the newest and best.
Fixed point versus compelling push?
Only you understand which would reduce your buyer's regret. Choose what feels right.
I am a bit older than most people. When I was really into this field, I thought I knew everything. I understood every small detail of each device and what was coming and going, and so on. I wonder if there is someone out there who can create a really good machine—I mean WOW. I don’t care much about the case or the look, but it was nice to imagine being able to examine something elegant.
These components are top of the line. If anyone out there can assemble what they think is an amazing machine and earn recognition from the staff or people here, I’m definitely on board. I’m good at that.
I actually considered a prebuilt system. I thought I could save about 1000 dollars by making it myself. I’ve been in this industry for over 30 years and I’m not into old-school or Linux or anything like that.
I need an ultimate machine, and I want people to agree with me that your list is "not bad." Nocturna is good, the case looks nice, you could spend less, but what do we give up if not airflow? I could go with Lian Li, but I’m not sure.
Please. Let this thread be the one where people say "HEY" and this would be my perfect choice. Building this machine will make you good for 5 years.
We all know the gaming scene has slowed down. I lost my best Marine a couple of months ago. Headset and conversation are now pointless.
Please help me build a great machine for today and for tomorrow. I just need all your support to do that.
