The motherboard received a BIOS update in May this year. The compatible CPU specifications are provided. It supports up to an i9-14900K/F processor.

Hey, I saw the compatibility check and realized it's a Z590, not a 790. It looks like I might need a completely different motherboard and CPU setup now. It seems the best CPU matches my current board... -_-

The 11th generation marked the final CPU for its socket. The 12th generation introduced a brand new socket, while the 12th to 14th generations generally support BIOS updates. To upgrade, you’d need a new motherboard. Keep in mind you’ll need to promptly update the BIOS to prevent issues with the 13th and 14th generations.

I believe the 10900K is the optimal choice for that platform. It usually performs better than other options when not handling AVX-512 tasks. The 11700K and 11900K are essentially identical products. The 11900K is merely a slightly overclocked version when it comes out.
