I've had Windows 10 installed with no problems before, but now my Bluetooth adapter is gone from Device Manager. I know this driver might be missing or the wrong one. Since I can't see Bluetooth in Device Manager anymore, I don't even know what kind of adapter it has to help me find drivers. Here are the laptop specs: Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-2C5. Has anyone seen a similar model and checked their Bluetooth info for me?

It's probably an Intel driver, so here is a tool to see if one exists and upgrade your software if that's the case.

Got your reply back soon. But I've already checked, and there is no Intel Bluetooth device showing up on my computer. Sorry to hear that!

Since the device is old, you might want to check the Toshiba Bluetooth options. Newer Windows versions only talk to Toshiba parts, not those from other makers like Dell. However, if it's a real Toshiba unit, this shouldn't cause any issues.

It was all good at first, but then a message asked me to plug in my Bluetooth device. I cancelled that request, and now it says the drivers are set up and I need to restart my computer. But when I did that, Bluetooth still doesn't show up on the Device Manager screen. Sad!

Since you can't see your Bluetooth chip in Device Manager, maybe you have to turn it on inside the BIOS or hit a special key just like a function button? Does your laptop light up a little light when Bluetooth is turned on? Some old laptops had a slide switch that let you turn off WiFi if you weren't using it so they could save energy. Sometimes this same switch also switched off Bluetooth too.
