Do you have a 4G LTE modem or router that supports true WAN IP passthrough?
I'm using a cheap 4G sim for a backup internet connection at home I have been using a Tenda 4G09 for a year, Bought second hand and realised it didn't do any kind of bridge / modem only mode, only a DMZ but kept using it. Recently I looked for another and found reviews showing the ZTE MF286D doe actually supports Bridge mode / modem only passthrough After getting it, yeah it does "Kind Of" It disables all routing & firewall on the router its self and passes everything through to 1 device on the lan side However it actually creates a 10.x.x.x range and passes that through to the Lan - there's no way to change this in the settings So i'm looking for a 4G LTE modem / router that can actually pass through the WAN IP Is this even possible?
You're asking if the information matches what your carrier actually provides. As mentioned by @Donut417, mobile devices sometimes don't display genuine public addresses.
As previously mentioned, but if you possess a SIM providing a public IPv4 address, our organization has utilized Peplink, Cradlepoint, and Digi. These solutions are costly yet reliably effective. Digi offers the most affordable option.
