It's even more concerning that the newer models consume significantly more power. It seems innovation has taken a back seat, and pre-overclocking became popular. Keeping those components cool without sacrificing performance will be a tough task.

Sure. It's just to assist as I understand it. Things like launching programs can increase CPU usage. It exploits certain methods to achieve that speed.

The temperature rises significantly, even with the slim chip and wide spreader. However, I'm confident someone will modify the firmware to attempt a fix, but until then we need to handle it.

Maybe keeping the VRMs cool during long-term operation is a big issue? Since these are regular consumer chips rather than high-end parts, I think Intel would need to consider cheaper boards that most manufacturers use.
