It seems the 3060 might be similar to today's console lineup, but perhaps less powerful?

What kind of games are you referring to, along with their specific settings?

in terms of raw power of the GPU on a PS5 I would say no
the NVMe drives are slower
a CPU with two fewer cores offers better performance
the PS5 Pro runs a much more powerful GPU, similar to an RX 6800
the GPU in the PS5 is closer to a 6700 XT but even nearer to its predecessor, the 6700, which was considered a rejected PS5 component made from unsuitable chips.
the CPU isn’t bad—it’s ahead of the current console generation
a 5700X3D would be even better
you might just feel slightly slower in certain areas on the PS5
it’s hard to compare consoles with PCs because consoles have less overhead than Windows
from a technical side, there are ways to optimize it
the 5700X3D CPU would need at least a cooler with 7 heatpipes if air cooling is used, or an AIO of 280 or 240
your RAM is fine
you could easily upgrade your GPU to something like the 4070 Super
those would be the biggest improvements possible
