I recently assembled my first PC and acquired an MSI Radeon RX480. I downloaded various drivers from the site, including the 'gaming app', 'msi afterburner', and 'wattman'. Experimenting with them caused my GPU fan to spin rapidly during gameplay, so I removed all of them. Should I still consider overclocking for games like LoL or Overwatch that run lightly? If yes, which software should I use? If not, is there a monitoring tool I can install to check performance without installing additional drivers? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

GPU overclocking doesn't really help game performance, particularly for games like LoL and Overwatch. You're content with the standard settings.

I only use tools such as afterburner to adjust fan curves (GPU fans tend to be loud). The RX480 is a solid and dependable card, unless it's an overclock version, in which case there really isn't much benefit. As Justiceinacan mentioned, it doesn't significantly affect performance.
