Do I have to increase the clock speed?
Do I have to increase the clock speed?
Hello everyone!
I want to share the setup details: AMD 4100 at 3.6GHz, 8192MB RAM, MSI GeForce GT 1030 AERO ITX 2G OC, paired with a GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 and Windows 10.
My concern is whether my AMD 4100 could limit the performance of the graphics card.
Neither the cpu nor the gpu performs well for gaming.
If you can, overclocking might offer some benefit.
Try playing your games while lowering resolution and quality settings.
If your fps remains unchanged, it suggests your processor is restricting performance.
Proceed with overclocking if possible.
An improvement in fps points to the gt 1030 being the main bottleneck.
If the processor limits performance despite overclocking, upgrading won't be necessary.
