I messed up by typing something wrong into Firefox's built-in word list. It's a really common mistake for me, and now I'm super worried because every time I type that same thing, Firefox is going to tell me it needs to change. So far, I've looked at where Firefox keeps its dictionary stuff, but I don't think it shows up there. I also can't find a persdict.dat file anywhere on my hard drive. Even though I checked the whole C drive and nothing popped up, maybe something changed recently since those articles mentioned the file? To be honest, I have turned on "Show Hidden Files," so that's not where it is either.

Hey, are you on the newest version? They just made a big change and it looks brand new. I'm actually using 89.0.2. Did you check this out too? https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001058.htm I looked through it but since I never added any words, my persdict.dat file isn't there in that folder.

Is there another thing that could be wrong? I did not mean to put in words last night when I hated the word and my mouse hand twitched just as I was pressing the button to go to dictionary now it does not highlight the if I type it but still no persdict.dat

But yesterday when I hated it, something caught my eye. Maybe the predict.dat file is hiding there. Check this link: https://pureinfotech.com/show-hidden-fil...indows-10/ What was the misspelled word and what is the correct spelling? It could be possible to search all files for that typo so we can find the dictionary file.
