I can't even get my 8700k running fast enough. My cooling fan (Le Grand) is loud but works fine. The RAM tested okay and my CPU runs in Prime95 without problems while it's new. But when I try to speed up, the heat gets insane inside my box. It fails Prime95 at high 80s degrees. I'm using a VCore of 1.25 volts and clocking my CPU to 4.6 GHz. Is this just a bad CPU or am I messing something up?

Put some thermal grease on the computer part. Make sure the fan or heat sink is tight, because moving it around can change how hot things get. If that doesn't help, your only choice is to buy a better cooling system.
