You have the option to encode your video or stream using either the GPU or the CPU.

If you're running a 4th gen Intel processor, a first-gen Ryzen with 8+ threads or more, and a 1060 or RX580 or better, you probably have enough power to stream most recent titles. Duel PC is suited for professional streamers since it maintains slightly higher frame rates and minimizes occasional drops for viewers, but if you lack consistent viewership or donations, it may not be worthwhile.

I captured gameplay using both an FX-8150 and a Ryzen 1600x. With GeForce Experience recording, I didn't notice any significant drop in performance.

Many streamers run multiple devices from one computer. I handle streaming and recording smoothly at 720 or 1080p using just a 4c/4t i5 and a GTX 970 graphics card. Therefore, you can upgrade to a mid-range PC under $700 depending on your streaming/recording settings, the game, and its configuration.
