Do you think 8 GB of memory is sufficient for Twitch to play games such as PUBG and The Division?

It seems likely that with streaming, you don't necessarily require additional RAM, but a strong CPU for encoding during streaming or a powerful GPU if using GPU-accelerated stream encoding.

These games require significant RAM, yet they perform adequately for you—streaming would also work fine if it ran smoothly for you. The colleague mentioned that streaming doesn’t demand much extra RAM.

It should suffice unless you run memory-intensive programs (please avoid). My friend managed to stream on 4GB.

Obtain an additional 8gb of RAM and cease concern.

No, please ensure you have at least 16gb. Of course, it's possible with 8gb, but if you're using Chrome and other applications, I wouldn't risk it.

8gb suffices when running applications with minimal memory usage; I’m unsure of others’ experiences, but it’s common to use additional components to ease memory-heavy tasks.

I tested about seven months ago and Pubg still shows memory issues, needing up to 13gb of RAM if available. The rest uses virtual memory on your HDD or SSD. You’re likely running streaming apps, Discord, recording, browser for stream checks and chat. A minimum of 16gb is recommended with a good GPU and two monitors.
