Hey there, I recently switched to a new internet plan that includes a router and mesh system. It uses a cellular connection, but the main issue is it can’t connect to the internet. I can ping my router easily and it finds a 4G signal, but it doesn’t provide actual internet access—IP and DNS are set up automatically. My device is the ZTE MC7010 with the TP Link Deco Mesh. Best wishes from Europe!
Hi Mathias, I’m not very familiar with the hardware. Does it support a SIM card? Also, have you tried reaching out to the provider’s support line? If it’s a standard phone SIM, some providers might block access if it’s used outside their allowed scenarios (not routed through them). If that’s the case, they often need to set you up as a new customer, which can cause issues. Calling and checking could be useful. While speaking with them, you’ll also learn if your pings are reaching the router. Regards.
