DNS services are currently experiencing issues. Should we react with panic or consider that the problem lies in their updated HTTPS handling? Linus suggested changing DNS a while ago, but now the connection feels sluggish. Temporarily switching to a reliable provider like 8.8.8.8 might help.

I encountered problems reaching the service. The ping test shows the destination is unreachable, and the HTTPS connection didn't respond. It might be related to a European server issue.

My router is set up with 1 as the main and 8 as the backup, which seems normal. However, since I'm in Europe and these settings don't work there, it might be due to a local outage or an issue with my ISP.

I also reside in Finland, which is the same nation as OP, and everything functions well for me. It looks like the issue might lie with OP's internet service provider.

It seems there are no problems with version 1.1.1.1 either. Likely, it could be a regional issue for you...

It's best to stick with the same DNS provider for both primary and secondary servers, since mixing them can lead to unexpected problems. Cloudflare offers 1.0.0.1 as an option for the secondary DNS.

Fascinating, hadn't considered that before. Used secondary only when the primary failed. Planning to experiment with a different approach.
