Hi, I bought the DmC remake on Steam despite many negative reviews, and I really enjoy it. However, I’m facing a crash issue that happens unexpectedly during gameplay—whether I’m in combat, watching a cutscene, or just walking through a level. The game runs perfectly at the highest settings, so I suspect power isn’t the main problem. My PC specs are listed in the signature, and I’m using an ACME DualShock controller with the x360ce emulator. I’ve tried Windows 7 and Windows XP SP3 in compatibility mode, but it didn’t help. What might be causing this?

It depends on what you mean by "crash." Does it simply return to the desktop? Show a black screen? Display a BSOD? Or is there some unusual behavior like Bill Gates dancing on your screen? Also, are you running the system at normal speeds?

It just stops working and I can't switch tabs or open Task Manager. I can only access the Windows 8 start menu, log out, and press cancel when prompted. Yes, speeds are good because I assumed H81 enabled overclocking and my GPU is already set to factory time.
