Performance was flawless throughout. The game delivered a stunning experience despite its short runtime. It was a visually impressive title that quickly became monotonous.

During the initial launch, my character often refused to load, accompanied by numerous disconnects caused by server strain right from the start. The character issues disappeared once I reorganized my division games folder where the CBT profile was stored. By day two onward, problems diminished significantly. Occasionally the server faced slowdowns, likely due to load handling, and there were some FPS fluctuations. Playing at 1080p generally offered a smoother experience than 1080i, with 30-45fps versus 120fps on low settings. On ultra, I maintained around 380 frames per second with fewer drops, suggesting my older i7 965 might be the culprit—especially during usage spikes up to 75-80%. While FPS occasionally hit 40, it was more stable at 1080p. The visuals looked sharp for the game’s scope; it’s still in beta, so bugs are expected. Most glitches appeared server-related, and optimization seemed adequate on ultra.

From a gameplay standpoint, if the concept doesn’t click, it doesn’t necessarily mean failure. There are plenty of drawbacks, but it’s not a total loss. If you’re not drawn to the style, it’s fine—just remember there’s still more content to come. The beta phase is just about 10% of the full experience, and even then, major features like security or medical tech remain limited. Skill trees, talents, and perks are locked, and mods are restricted (no weapon or crafting options). Bullet sponge enemies break immersion but aren’t a dealbreaker for me. Overall, it’s an RPG that leans toward repetitive gameplay—grinding is part of the experience. If you enjoy that, it might suit you despite the flaws.

For someone who prefers MMOs, the grind can feel exhausting, especially with quest-heavy content. The beta may be a test, but it’s not ideal for everyone. Still, if you’re willing to wait, the improvements since CBT are noticeable, and the game has potential. Just keep in mind that most of what’s available is still pending full release.

I understand your point, but Ubisoft removed about 90% of the features. It's unclear what testing approach to use given such a large omission.

I really liked the beta and started playing without any prior experience. I haven't followed Ubisoft's new releases closely. There were no performance problems, even during harsh weather, and the gameplay felt varied rather than repetitive—just limited by some feature restrictions. The winter city setting impressed me. I didn’t encounter any bugs or crashes, which was a pleasant surprise. I’m especially fond of the Dark Zone concept and think it’ll improve with more players. Overall, it’s not terrible. Thanks to Ubisoft for keeping things balanced so far.
