Distro for old storage computer?
I’m planning to build an off-site storage setup for backing up crucial files. The machine will stay mostly idle, activating only when you manually update or expand the backup. I’ll use outdated hardware—like a 10+ year-old motherboard and processor—and limit RAM to under 1GB of DDR1. A lightweight Linux distribution is essential; Lubuntu is my current choice, but I’ve found Puppy and Bodhi less appealing. Are there any other lesser-known, old-computer-friendly distros worth exploring? I can test them all in a virtual environment if you’d like.
