I’ve encountered unusual graphical glitches, including distorted shadows and black screen artifacts, while switching between applications in games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. You can view a demonstration at https://youtu.be/rjpGMrUe58Q. My system specifications are as follows: an RTX 2080 Ti graphics card, an Intel i7-9700K processor, an Evga Supernova 650 Gold power supply, an Asus TUF Z370 Plus Gaming motherboard, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, and an Asus ROG Swift PG279Q G-Sync monitor. I’ve attempted troubleshooting by reinstalling drivers and checking temperatures, which were both within acceptable ranges. Suspecting a graphics card problem, I sent my original card back for repair and used a 970 GPU temporarily; however, the problems persisted. I’m currently at a loss for solutions and uncertain whether my RAM or processor might be contributing to these visual problems during gameplay.

Revise the motherboard information.
Experiment with a new graphics cable.
Employ DDU to eliminate all drivers and install the newest NVIDIA driver from nvidia.com.
Are any other programs running secretly while you play games? Such as a web browser or video player?
Has your processor been manually boosted beyond its default settings? And has your memory been overclocked too?

My computer’s graphics card driver software isn't being updated anymore.
I attempted a different display port connection.
I have already ran a Display Driver Uninstaller.
I confirm that all applications are closed before troubleshooting.
I suspect my processor might be running at a higher clock speed than intended, as it reaches 4.60 GHz despite being rated for 4.9 GHz; I don't typically modify the processor’s settings.
I also possess a G-Sync monitor, and I am wondering if this could be contributing to any problems.

I'm experiencing a similar problem with Red Dead Redemption 2. My computer’s motherboard is quite old, only three years old, and it has an outdated BIOS version. I’m hesitant to update the BIOS because I don't possess a backup power supply (UPS). Could you tell me approximately how long a BIOS update typically takes?

Here are my computer specifications:

* Intel Core i5-8400
* ZOTAC RTX 2070S AMP graphics card
* Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM (3000 MHz)
* Cooler Master MWE v2 650W Bronze (80+ rating)
