Distorted video
Distorted video
My new sff system initially didn’t allow any posting, but after disconnecting the GPU and using integrated graphics I can access the bios and install media. However, the video signal remains severely distorted, making text unreadable (see link). Some troubleshooting actions I’ve taken include: testing both RAM sticks separately, removing the motherboard from the case to run only CPU and RAM, using a known-good GPU, a working PSU, re-setting the CPU and checking for bent pins, and flashing the BIOS with the latest non-beta version. Still unsure about further steps—plugging in any GPU shows no video output, though the system posts after the bios update. Anyone experiencing similar issues?

What is the make, model and age of your unit for troubleshooting?
Could you share the make and model of your monitor? Have you tried using a different display cable?
The updated bios version is 3.50. I used the same gigabyte 5070 from a friend’s computer, and the power supply was an old “power man” 350 watt unit that I salvaged from an old tower without the gpu installed. It’s a poor PSU, but it worked fine in my tests. The monitor is an xgaming MD2756, and I also tried an lg 27GL83A, which gave the same results. I don’t have another HDMI port available right now, but I can get one tomorrow. However, when the GPU was connected, neither HDMI nor displayport showed any signal except briefly during boot. Thanks for your assistance!
