After some time I chose to replay RDR2 again and encountered sound crackling or popping problems. I checked online and found a straightforward solution: disabling voice chat. That helped improve the audio, but it became very bad afterward. Even my microphone started distorting. I discovered that turning off Dolby Atmos and the spatializer for windows made a difference, though only temporarily. Reducing the sample rate also helped, making the distortion noise less noticeable. However, when I close the game, the audio remains heavily distorted, almost as if it was fried. Only after restarting my PC did everything return to normal. This issue also occurs with Cyberpunk 2077, but not with games like BTD6, Brawlhalla or Rainbow 6 Siege.

I tried another headset on my computer using the ST100 headset stand. It worked without issues so far. I believe the problem might be related to Corsair ICUE or the headset itself being faulty.

I followed every step carefully and completed everything successfully, yet the problem remains.

How long have you owned this computer? I recently got a brand new one six years ago, but it had both a bad motherboard and GPU. The audio would distort suddenly, the graphics would freeze, and then it would crash. That was the last PC I bought before this issue started.

Sure, attempt to access the BIOS and locate the "XMP High Frequency" choice, adjusting it to level 1. Alternatively, look for the SOC Voltage setting and configure it to 1.15V.

It was already configured as "profile 1 3200". Still I'm unsure why disabling voice chat caused this problem. After adjusting DOLBY ATMOS, the issue reappeared.

No, it's not the XMP Profile, but XMP High Frequency Support with Level 1. If available on your bios, check for it; otherwise, adjust the soc voltage to 1.15v as suggested.

This is all i see. I do see VCORE SOC, but is that the right one? When I scroll down there is also a CPU/VRM option. This leads to Vcore SOC Loadline calibration
