I recently added a new 500GB WD SSD. I downloaded Steam and installed one game around 80GB, that's all. Now when I try to install another game it says the drive is full. In my File Manager, when I select this PC it shows only 7GB remaining. The disk management window doesn't display anything unusual, and the partitions seem normal, but the drive isn't actually full.

Check your folder storage with TreeSize. You might have saved large files you didn’t notice. Be mindful while deleting unknown files. Use "Disk Cleanup" in Windows to eliminate temporary files and run it with admin rights for clearing old installations (like major Windows updates).

Windows likely takes up around 25gb already. Have you checked the storage and examined the files on the drive? The display doesn<|pad|>, it doesn’t show the full size.
