Hello all you awesome guys. Now I am planning on building a home server with unraid/freeNAS, router with pfSense and setting up a 10/40g lan, and I wonder if it's possible to use a connected to router/server monitor for output from local devices in net, like pc and more importantly android phone? It would be really cool for watching movies from bed and such stuff. Only solutions I can figure out: RDP software like TW, but i assume it's not too convenient fot this concrete scenario and won't work too fast on my pretty aged nexus 5; using chromecast or something alike, but it would add additional cost. Are there any other ways? Google says i want monitoring tools for lan and refuses to show anything related to my question.

No deals available. Some devices support HDMI over IP encoding, though budget options aren't suitable for real networks—just point-to-point cables. Premium models cost at least a few hundred dollars.

You can easily set up streaming from your bed by creating a share and sending movies over your network via a server. Or perhaps you meant something different?

View recorded content from the server on your phone while it's nearby on your device.

Thank you for your reply, though it's a shame.

I could only access media directly on the phone, right? It seems like this task could be handled fairly simply, though it isn’t my primary aim.

Your films and clips will be saved on the Plex system. You’ll be able to watch them using your mobile device.

They will be saved on the server and displayed on a phone screen. I aim to see them on a server display while managing the process via the phone.

You're likely searching for an Android version of TeamViewer download link.
