Occasionally, my display shuts down and restarts, causing low FPS until I reboot the PC. The event log shows errors with ID 4101 and DistributedCOM issues. I've followed multiple suggestions from Dr. Google, but nothing resolves the problem. Actions tried: re-seat connections (though system is tightly configured), checked PSU, updated BIOS, disabled X.M.P., ran CHKDSK/Memtest, reinstalled drivers, rolled back drivers, and even updated to the latest Windows version. Still facing the same performance drop. I’m wondering if upgrading to Windows 11 might help. My specs are listed, but some components seem mismatched or outdated. Any advice would be appreciated.

The black screen occurs due to a crash in the graphics drivers. It also clarifies why your frame rate and performance drop afterward, resolving the issue after a system restart. Please share which applications or games trigger this problem, along with the current version of the nVidia GeForce drivers installed. Did you uninstall or reinstall drivers using the Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode? What steps did you take to remove, reinstall, or revert the drivers? Which version of Windows 10 are you using—22H2, 22H1, or an earlier release?

Check if you have the newest chipset drivers available. https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/x570 These updates resolve certain error messages and black screen problems. Are your temperatures normal while under load? Have you verified the condition of your storage device? (Hard Disk Sentinel) Is the latest firmware applied to the SSD?

use ddu in safe mode then restore drivers. also chipset drivers are affected because ddu clears them

Installed using DDU in safe mode, then reinstalled drivers—now it seems more problematic, with several errors occurring simultaneously rather than just one crash or recovery.

It seems something unexpected happened, but it’s definitely out of the ordinary. You might want to test on a different GPU. Also, check what the error messages indicate.

Event ID 0 details are unavailable. The system suggests the component may be missing or corrupted on your machine. Consider reinstalling or fixing it locally. If the event happened elsewhere, ensure the display data was saved with it. The attached information includes: DeviceVideo3 Error occurred on GPUID: b00 System - Provider [Name] nvlddmkm EventID 0 Qualifiers 0 Version 0 Level 2 Task 0 Opcode 0

Trying a different GPU isn't feasible because the whole setup uses hardened liquid cooling, and I don't have another card available.
