Hey there, I'm attempting to launch a build using some mixed components I gathered—aiming for a gaming PC for my partner. So far, I'm only seeing the standby yellow LED on my ASUS Prime B450M-A motherboard. No fans spinning, no POST sequence, and definitely no display. I've gone through several troubleshooting attempts, but it's still not turning on. Anyone here have a clue what might be missing?

- Case: NIXSYS NX25903 (recycled from work, wiring intact)

The yellow indicator on ASUS boards usually points to a memory problem. It could mean your RAM isn’t properly seated or one of the modules is faulty. (edit) Or the motherboard itself might be damaged. I recently installed my 5070 in a mini ITX case and accidentally bent the board. It functioned until I carefully straightened it. Then the yellow light appeared—and clearly, I’m using a new motherboard now. It didn’t work at all. Unless the light changes, test one memory stick at a time to identify the issue. But similarly, my fans wouldn’t spin, there’s no signal, nothing. If the board can’t connect to the CPU or RAM, it just remains inactive.
Not really, no power supply tester or multimeter needed. Have you tried a RAM stick? Switching between them could help if the first one failed. I don’t want to alarm you with the F:Tier PSU, but it’s something I need to mention. I’ve seen what poor PSUs can do—it’s not good. I’ve also noticed F:Tier PSUs work fine. I'm not sure if this PSU is a reliable unit. Do you have another one to try? The pictures seem fine. What's the condition of the CPU socket pins? Are they bent? It's 2:30 AM, so I won't respond until morning—I need some rest. Good luck! I'll look again tomorrow.
