The problem lies in the fact that my GPU connections aren't being detected until I enter the BIOS, while my CPU lacks integrated graphics to reach there. To investigate, my cousin borrowed a CPU with built-in graphics and followed similar steps—changing nothing in BIOS, saving, and then seeing the GPU recognized. Once the computer started up normally, I swapped back to my original CPU and it functioned correctly. Now I need to reset the CMOS each time I replace the CPU, but before that I must enter the BIOS again for the GPU to appear. Despite reading many guides online—including Linus’ videos—my setup still doesn’t show up. I’m certain all hardware works when only the CPU changes, and using my own CPU still leaves the screen blank. I’ve searched extensively but haven’t found a solution. It's time to switch to another OS version on a different storage device. The issue seems serious, so you need to either diagnose the problem or clear parts of the system until it resolves. If changing to another OS instance on another drive (like a Windows thumb drive) resolves the issue, the problem likely lies with the drive or its contents. Otherwise, it might not be the case. If yes, how would you notice the effects of different formats? Also, just confirming—did you replace the CPU again this time but skip resetting the CMOS? It seems like the CMOS might reset itself each time you change the CPU.
