I adjusted my A8-6600k with the multiplier to 43x. The clock should be set at 4300mhz, but the current reads between 1800mhz and 1900mhz. I used BIOS overclocking settings. Can you explain why?
It seems the CPU is employing power-saving modes to reduce its speed. Unless all power-saving options are turned off, it will lower its clock rate to conserve energy when faster speeds aren't needed. For precise CPU clock readings, apply stress to the processor. This will confirm whether it operates at the intended speed.

It seems the CPU is employing power-saving modes to reduce its speed. Unless all power-saving features are turned off, it will slow down when higher clock speeds aren't needed. Stressing the processor will give a more accurate reading of its clock speed. I noticed this behavior before, and after checking the BIOS it was set to power-saving mode or something similar. Thanks for the help!
