So i'm getting a bit of screen tearing with Gsync on during battlefield. It's especially noticeable during the swooping in and out of deployment as well as some in game stuff. Any idea what could be the cause? Or can anyone else confirm they're getting some tearing too? I'm using an Asus PG348Q with a GTX 1080. My understanding was that gsync eliminated screen tearing. Period. I'm on the latest Nvidia drivers and have verified that Gsync is indeed on. My only thoughts are that it could be game dependent, or there's a slim chance I may have a faulty gsync module.

Confirm if GSync is active by checking the power indicator—red light means it's on.

Certainly, you can switch the OSD settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and it will display 'gsync on' during gameplay.

Disable any tearing issues. Ensure Gsync is activated properly. Verify the display's frequency setting and confirm there isn't Gsync enabled exclusively in FullScreen. Launch BF using a borderless window.

Enable gsync on in the Nvidia control panel and also ensure vsync is forced in the NCP. This will limit performance to 165Hz and prevent instability. Games should remain vsync off for optimal results.

Incorrect. When Vsync is disabled in the settings, the monitor may experience tearing if the frame rate surpasses its refresh rate. Vsync needs to be enabled to control FPS and prevent crashes.

Turn off Vsync. When you hit the frame rate limit, use afterburner or NVIDIA Inspector. Even without it, you can still address Vsync drawbacks...

I’ve completed all the steps mentioned. Running in full screen, gsync turned on in the settings while fullscreen sync is also turned off via the nv control panel.
