Display issue with GPU not showing anything.
Hello! Your RX 6600 arrived and after setup, your PC started but no display appeared. Once you connected the HDMI cable to the GPU, everything worked properly. However, the GPU doesn’t show up in Task Manager, Device Manager, or AMD software. The fans only spin briefly at startup and then stop. I noticed the GPU feels very hot to the touch, but the fans still don’t run. You have a Ryzen 5 4600G with an A520M HDV and an RMA 850E PSU. I’ve tried reseating the GPU multiple times, using different PSU cables, and clearing the CMOS battery, but nothing resolved the issue. Please help me, and sorry for the poor English.
It seems the GPU might be down. Verify all external power cables are attached and your PSU can handle the load, even though the RX6600 consumes minimal power. Consider testing the GPU on another machine to exclude a motherboard issue. Open the BIOS settings and ensure the GPU is configured for auto-select rather than being locked to the integrated graphics.
Check various PCIe connections on your motherboard and experiment with switching power supply cables to another PCIe cable if available. If you have cable extensions, remove them and use the original cables. The Powercolor mute fan indicator suggests fans won’t run when GPU temps drop below 60°C. Re-seat the GPU, reinsert the PSU cables fully, and verify they’re properly connected. Consider testing other HDMI ports on the card or using the DP port if it’s present.
