Initially shared on the PCSPECIALIST community as its original source, this post was sent because I haven’t received a reply there. I’m really struggling to fix this problem. In short, the control center has been causing issues since I first used this laptop. I love the Vibrant mode setting. One day it would reset back to normal, no matter what I did, and even after repeatedly trying to switch settings, it wouldn’t work. I tried reaching out to PCSpecialist, who suggested reinstalling or reinstalling again, but that didn’t help. It’s been about a year now. Recently, the same problem returned—about two months ago. I hadn’t uninstalled or reinstalled until yesterday when I finally decided to try and it caused more trouble. Here’s a brief timeline:
- Uninstalled Control Center
- Laptop display went black
- Plugged into external monitor – it worked
- Display disappeared in Windows
- Powered on multiple times, tried reinstalling Control Center
- Bricked the computer
- Restarted Windows to an earlier version
- Tried TV and monitors (HDMI, DisplayPort)
- Restored Windows before uninstallation
- Still no display on laptop or external monitor
- Restarted Windows 11, same issue
- Installed new SSD, fresh Windows 11 install
- Still stuck with the same problem
I’ve been unable to play games smoothly for at least eight months. The graphics are stuttering or freezing, even in single-player mode, which makes me suspect a dead GPU. I’m out of warranty and happy to pay PCSpecialist to fix it if they can. Unclear if the issue is software-related from Control Center or a hardware problem like a dead GPU or display. Anyone else have faced this?
