It seems like your Windows 10 setup is behaving strangely. When you leave the computer on, the screen becomes dimmer than usual, but adjusting display settings or enabling adaptive brightness doesn’t fix it. There’s no power sleep option available either. This issue started recently and affects a desktop that previously worked fine. Could someone else have similar experiences? Any advice would be appreciated.

It's not Windows—it's a software you installed that interacts with your monitor to modify brightness, GPU drivers, or applies a semi-transparent overlay across the entire screen. While Windows offers similar functionality for laptops, it uses a distinct protocol and isn't available through any accessible desktop features or user panels.
