Setting up an older but functional GTX 960 in my PC with a 5600G and A520 Aorus Elite, using the CX550 PSU, shows mixed results. In the top X16 slot there’s no display output whether I use integrated graphics or the GPU. However, in the bottom rate-limited slot it works fine, drivers install properly, and updates succeed. Even after installing drivers, the top slot still doesn’t function. This seems unusual—could it be a rare issue or just a failing component in that slot?

The top position might have failed completely. Could you suggest other PCIe cards to try in that slot? Any type would suffice, like a network card or USB device.

I don’t have any additional PCIe cards available for testing.

Mobo is just around 8 months old, which makes it seem odd if the slot had failed.
