Display black screen during specific gameplay.
I'm struggling to figure out what to do or test. I keep seeing random black screens in certain titles. I can try it over and over, but the issue only appears with specific games. Right now, the only game that works is Sniper Elite 4. I can play for a while before my PC shuts down completely. Occasionally, audio plays for a few seconds or minutes, but it feels like the HDMI/DP cables were disconnected. I assumed it was a power supply problem, but I've replaced it. I also had a UPS installed during this time. The fans on the graphics card sometimes reach maximum speed, though that happens less often.
Everything is original, no overclocking or modifications. All components are new.
Occasionally, I encounter a hardware error in the Reliability History.

I test individual parts (stress tested CPU and GPU without problems).
Sometimes I see a message saying "Default Radeon WattMan settings have been restored due to unexpected system failure," but not consistently.
What I've tried:
1. Monitoring temperatures – CPU and GPU never exceed 70°C. I have a CSV from HWINFO64 taken before the crash, which might help.
2. Drivers – I used the latest WHQL driver; I attempted to uninstall it with DDU, but it didn't work.
3. Swapping all HDMI/DP cables – both were replaced and still had the same problem.
4. Reaching out to MSI support – they suggest returning it for repair (RMA). Is that my only choice now? I'm not sure and it's making me anxious.
System Specs:

- Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU cooler
- MSI X470 GAMING PRO ATX AM4 motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 memory

- MSI Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB GAMING X TRIO video card
- Corsair 750 W 80+ Gold Certified fully modular ATX power supply
Noticing comparable problems, I decided to purchase a new PSU. I'll update you on my findings.
Have you considered trying a "Driver-only" install?
I ran into a similar problem with my RX 6700XT just last week until I tried every possible fix.
The only relief was using the "Driver-only" setup.
(It's frustrating not being able to use Radeon Software fully right now, but at least it's not causing black screen issues... for now)
I upgraded from 22.5.1 to 22.8.2, and the games that previously had the "Full Install" option seem to be missing.
But I'm not giving up hope because I managed to resolve it through troubleshooting.
If this issue comes back, I might have to send the card for an RMA. 🥲
I just attempted this again and encountered the same problem. Perhaps I should return it for repair.
