Hi everyone, I've been experiencing a problem with my new PC. It randomly shuts down to a black screen for a few seconds, then restarts on its own. This happens while playing games or watching videos. I've tested various cables—DisplayPort and an HDMI cable—but the issue persists. I've tried turning it off and on, switching cables and types, disabling MPO in regedit, using different power bars, running a stress test, and updating drivers. My system specs are: Intel i5 13600k, Deepcool cooler, Msi Pro Z690-A with updated BIOS, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB RAM at 3200MHz, Kingston 2TB NVMe SSD, Asus Tuf 6800 OC GPU, and a Corsair RM850 power supply. I'm open to any advice or steps you might suggest.

Would you like to test it on another TV to check if the issue persists?

I also considered cable problems first. DisplayPort is better than HDMI. Does the issue continue when you reduce resolution or refresh rate? Do you have another monitor or TV to test? It might be a monitor problem.

It seems we've experimented with various cables, but the problem might lie with the monitor itself.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. The monitor I mentioned is one I used before and has never shown any problems until using this new setup. I’ll test it with an LG 1440p 144Hz monitor and let you know the results.

Hi, I see you're facing the same challenge. Could you let me know if you've recently changed your CPU or if everything is brand new? I'm trying to help but need more details. I hope your system stays stable and doesn't crash like mine did.

I tried some tests with another monitor, but the issue didn’t repeat. While checking the problem monitor, I saw freesync active in the OSD. Disabling it in the monitor settings stopped the problem. Thanks everyone!
