Display a black screen during startup.
I cleaned my SSD because of Windows 11 activation, but I didn’t realize at the time. I connected it to my new motherboard and it fit with my old one. I reached out to a technician and tested my GPU on his PC; its debug light appeared on the VGA port. When I tried it on my own PC, everything worked perfectly. I’m starting to question my monitor since it zapped me yesterday while removing the DP cable—maybe it affected my GPU. Luckily, my GPU is still under warranty. Until then, I’ll stick with my old, slow 970 model that has thermal problems. Let’s see how quickly I can get a replacement. I’m still unsure, so we should wait for the new GPU to arrive.
You received your card back from Gigabyte, and it looks like the problem was resolved. The repair took about 20 days, and everything is now functioning properly. Appreciate the help!
It seems like you're noticing something is recurring. Would you like to clarify what you mean?
You used your 970 on your PC successfully, but after attempting a BIOS update, you encountered a black screen (code 3070) and the VGA debug light isn’t showing up. You should check the system logs, ensure the BIOS update was applied correctly, and verify hardware connections. If issues persist, consider testing with another system or consulting a technician.
