It happened unexpectedly, and now your screen goes black with a cursor. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn’t help, and Ctrl+Shift+Esc also doesn’t resolve anything. I’m not sure what to do. Sad

What version of Windows are you running, what hardware are you running, and have you tried a system repair install where you can keep your data and programs?

I recall the last time I changed my PC was 10 days ago. It was Windows 10 Home, and I haven’t attempted a system repair yet.

Attempt system fixes and/or utilize a recent restore point if available (note, data lost before the point is made may be irrecoverable). Tools to assist in backing up data despite a non-working OS: https://recoverit.wondershare.com/window...ut-os.html https://www.minitool.com/data-recovery/r...drive.html

It might be related to your SSD, and I've heard some issues with Kingston drives. Windows location isn't clear either.

Varies by model, not every Kingston SSD is faulty. Use CrystalDiskInfo to assess your drive's condition: https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/

While the computer starts up (notice the Windows logo spinning after BIOS loads), keep pressing the power button and restart. Repeat this three times in a row. This should trigger an automatic fix on the fourth attempt, after which you'll see repair options like system startup repair.

Hold on, the issue could be as basic as changing the video output. When you get the cursor, press Win+P twice, then Enter and pause for 10 seconds. If this doesn't help, try again. You might also attempt: Win+Shift+Ctrl+B and wait about 30 seconds. Another option is to boot into Safe mode, remove your GPU drivers, and reinstall the newest ones.
