I aimed for a higher resolution to play Fortnite, but I didn’t stick strictly to the tutorial since my monitor supports 280Hz. I adjusted the detailed resolution on top and set it to 1720x1080. When I switch windows using ALT + TAB, my screen goes black for about five seconds.

It's a recognized issue with the display port. It doesn't occur with me, though it does for others. No solutions are available at the moment.

The simplest method worked, so just switch off the screen and then turn it back on.
