Likely ran out of available RAM and began utilizing HDD swap files.

Black Ops 4 requires a lot of RAM. Without at least 12GB, performance will be poor.

Earlier discussions noted challenges with 8GB RAM during COD WW2. It’s recommended to increase to 16GB for better performance. As pointed out by @xAcid9, this upgrade should eliminate the system memory bottleneck and improve load handling on both games.

It was consistently the RAM regardless of where I looked. Got it, thanks.

I initially assumed consoles running it would make PC gaming simpler. That turned out not to be the case. The PC requirements are much more demanding.

Consoles offer fixed, consistent settings that remain unchanged, simplifying the process for developers to adjust and refine for those particular hardware needs. PCs, however, provide numerous variations and configurations, which complicates optimization for each unique setup.

Hey there... Every time something new pops up on my PC makes me want to ditch the computer and go for a console. Ugh, 16 GB RAM should solve it all. Way better than getting a console.
