We haven’t overlooked Evolve; it remains a prime illustration of how things can spiral out of control.

I really didn't notice that. Indeed, it's the same game. Prior to its release, they offered DLC pre-orders...

You notice Jim Sterling's content but wonder why cosmetic features aren't freely available in the game. You mention paying for the Tomb Raider 2013 DLC, which is separate from the main game.

The Star Wars Battlefront series avoids microtransactions, yet a season pass priced similarly to the game feels quite excessive. The original title seems to offer limited content.

Jim approves but emphasizes inclusivity for all players. If they wish to earn extra, selling items like figures, hoodies, or merchandise is fine. However, for exclusive downloads, skins, and cosmetics, I set my boundary.

I believe microtransactions exist because players desire a full experience and are willing to pay for it. Another example is Payday 2, which introduced such features and faced strong criticism. Despite the backlash, they haven’t changed their approach. Wouldn’t it be better if games were free to play?

I believe Battlefield 4's design shines... Of course, it's not about winning at all costs, but if you're skilled enough, you can easily defeat anyone. That’s why I don’t mind people getting gear for their weapons.
