Discussion on Asus MCE and voltage concerns for the 10850K CPU (reference cinebench and Hwinfo64 data)
Hi there, I'm checking my 10850K with Asus Z490-A Strix Gaming. I'm wondering if MCE should be set to "enabled - let bios optimize" by default. It seems the chip is applying a lot of voltage to try to hit 5200 MHz more often across multiple cores, though I'm not sure why it's doing that. When I switch MCE off and turn on limits, only one core can reach 5200 MHz but the voltage drops. Benchmarks didn't seem too impacted, maybe just a few percent. Temperatures stay normal, never going over 70°C for Cinebench in both cases. Any suggestions? Thanks!
