Hello, you're considering the X570 board with a 4-pin power port for the CPU. Some sources say it's not essential, while others suggest it might improve stability. Is it actually needed? Only through massive overclocking. Absolutely, an 8-pin connector functions like a 4x4 for CPUs.

It seems the additional 4-pin might be mainly for LN2 handling or hiding poor power supply cables. In that case, the best advice is to avoid any fire risks either way. If you have extra cable, use it or keep it organized—don’t let it clutter things up.

The additional 4-pin connector is only required when you intend to boost the CPU speed. If you avoid overclocking, you won’t need this connector.
