Discussion about the room situation
Hello, welcome! I hope you're not putting this in the wrong section. I recently purchased the Corsair H100I RGB Platinum SE to mount it on the top of my case. My existing RAM is too large and prevents the cooler from fitting properly. I'm curious if anyone knows whether the Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB SL RAM is compact enough to allow the AIO to sit at the top of the case. My case is a Corsair 220T Airflow, and I currently have the T Group T Force RGB RAM. Thank you in advance for any advice.
A visual aid could clarify the issue. The problem might stem from insufficient space between the motherboard and the radiator, or possibly the tubes interfering with it. [Edit] It seems a quick check of images or videos suggests you’d likely need minimal-profile RAM or a very thin radiator, especially if placing the radiator at the front. Would it make sense to move it there?
The RAM appears too tall in certain areas and has these "wings" at the end, which prevents the radiator from fitting at the top. I considered moving it to the front but wanted it on top. If it can't fit at the top, I'll place it in front instead. Thanks for your advice and support. I'm still getting familiar with this PC setup.
Checking the details, a radiator with additional fins isn't compatible with the top.
It was a risk worth taking. It needs to be placed at the forefront next.
