You might face limitations with certain games, as not all titles are compatible with GeForce Experience. This doesn't necessarily block play on the Shield, but it could affect your experience.
You can run most games on a Shield, with the exception of Arma. I'm not claiming it's terrible, but it won't perform well on a high frame rate.
It depends on the game I purchased; it was an Android TV system that started crashing at first. After that, it became a nearly unused device once I set up an HTPC.
It was the first or second generation. My first-gen version had problems, but they were resolved after some updates to the GFE.
