You can limit Windows boot-up files to an SSD by using tools like Macrium Reflect, which allows selective transfer without moving the entire drive. This way, you can keep your 240 GB SSD intact while still updating it. Alternatively, getting a fresh Windows installation is another option if you prefer a clean setup.

I think it's possible. If the files you don't wish to move are on another drive, you should be able to exclude that drive in certain advanced cloning tools such as Acronis.
