Discussion about boosting Ryzen performance
Hi, your Ryzen 5 2600 currently reaches a boost of 3.68 GHz per core. Disabling two cores and then pushing it to 4.2 GHz seems feasible, but you should verify with your motherboard’s documentation. Overclocking to higher frequencies can be risky, especially if your game relies on fewer cores. It’s wise to test cautiously and monitor stability. Good luck!
I might be able to skip the overclocking for all six cores... Would you like to check if adjusting to four cores or eight threads would work?))]
You can't have cores running at the same speed, yet Ryzen's idle power usage remains nearly the same as when it's not running, even with full clock speed and voltage. This makes it unclear why you'd want such a setup.
