Let's start with what you're feeling. I get Ubisoft's stance, selling stolen items is against the law. Would you really pay 10 grand for a Maserati from someone? Probably, but don't worry when the police take that car because it's stolen. The same applies to game keys—if they're stolen, they should be seized.

I've bought games from G2A, checked the seller's ratings and sales numbers. I got Far Cry 4 at a discount, but still paid. I can't really spend 70 dollars on a game, but if I find a better deal later, I might pay full price again. This key revocation situation is frustrating for everyone involved.

On another point (and it's a shame), do you think using offline mode in uPlay would stop the key from being taken if it's stolen? I really want to play Far Cry 4 but don't want it taken before completion. I might wait for better Steam sales from now on and avoid G2A again, even if it costs more.

It's always a chance. Yet, how do these keys end up being taken? Are they targeted at the vehicles transporting them?

It seems there are always potential risks involved. Using stolen credit card information is increasingly problematic as well.

I had the exact same issue! My FC4 from G2A functioned perfectly until it was removed from Uplay recently. I reached out to G2A and Ubisoft, but haven’t heard back from them yet... I managed to get another key from NVIDIA’s “pick your path” option after purchasing a 970.

I purchase and install games on Uplay, but I always get a crack to avoid the issues they create.

Yeah, you were really annoying me today while I was trying to play Valiant Hearts. The game feels almost broken and needs serious fixes. I might leave my gaming setup until I finish the project.

I bought it about a week ago. Could you clarify the time period you're interested in regarding its removal?

You're pointing out that g2a is offering discounted keys by purchasing them from regions with lower wages. This strategy allows them to sell at reduced prices. If Ubisoft wants to prevent this practice, implementing a regional restriction on the keys would be effective. Steam's approach could serve as a model.
