You find it appealing because physical items can be bought, borrowed, or shared, while digital files are tied to your account and can't be freely exchanged.

Usually, digital options are much easier to access.

Currently it's tough to sell physical items. However, I really enjoy having them in person—they look so appealing!

The main way people get physical media these days is by storing them on shelves.

I prefer keeping my collection of games organized and free from clutter in my living space.

PC gaming seems to be a very limited space once you've spent money on a title and finished playing, with no chance to recoup it. In contrast, console gaming offers more freedom—players can buy physical copies and enjoy a fairer environment.

Today's DRM standards accepted by PC gamers have taken away many essential sales freedoms. This isn't a positive direction—it's quite concerning what these companies are doing, and gamers have simply accepted it. Even though Steam is marketed as a positive platform, it still limits your rights. Whether you purchase the DVD or download now, you'll still receive the same restricted package that can't be shared or sold.

Current PC DRM remains tied to keys. This affects both digital and physical versions. The main focus is displaying off your collection or saving money by buying from local dealers. Consoles might behave differently, but multiplayer games usually require an account.
