Discussing the connection between CPU and RAM speed
Earlier I purchased a PC with an i5-10400F processor and 16 GB of 3200 MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM. I discovered my RAM performance is limited by the CPU since it can't support speeds above 2666 MHz. If I try to overclock the CPU, will it increase the speed difference between the CPU and RAM beyond 2666 MHz?
You can't boost the i5's speed beyond its limits. For overclocking, you need a K-series CPU and a Z590 motherboard.
For a B560 board you can apply XMP to configure the RAM at 3200 MHz. Note: This might also need an 11th generation processor along with a B560.
