I discovered an Asrock B450 Steel Legend at a low cost, and noticed it has two M.2 ports. Does that indicate it can hold two NVMe SSDs, or is one limited to SATA only? Thank you for clarifying this for me.

The device features an M.2 socket (M2_1) compatible with various M.2 PCIe modules. It supports Gen3 x4 up to 32 Gb/s using multiple drivers like Vermeer, Matisse, Cezanne, Renoir, Picasso, Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge and Pinnacle Ridge. Alternatively, it can run Gen3 x2 at 16 Gb/s with Athlon APUs or Raven Ridge 2. A second slot connects via PCIe 4.0 to SATA3 at 6.0 Gb/s, while M.2 SATA3 at 3.0 Gb/s and SATA3 at 4.0 Gb/s are also available. Using the first slot directly into the CPU works well with CPUs having 20 PCIe lanes. The second slot links to the chipset, limiting speeds to PCIe 3.0 x2 and removing two SATA ports. If M2_1 is occupied, PCIe 4.0 will be disabled.

The second m.2 model works with both NVMe and SATA, though using two of the SATA ports might not be possible. Thanks for your guidance!
