Discussing reinstallation of Windows

I upgraded my PC about three years ago and want to perform a clean Windows install on my SSD. Some games and programs I prefer not to re-download are stored there. Can I transfer everything to another hard drive to avoid re-downloading?

If these are games in a library system (like Steam or Origin), you can easily relocate the library folder to another drive, and the platform will locate them or direct you after a fresh installation. Regarding programs... it's unclear whether things like MS Office or Adobe require installation and registry changes.

You're asking about storage capacity and how to manage file size. If space is an issue, compress the file before uploading.

I own a 240gb SSD that's almost full. I recently swapped in a 2TB drive last year and moved my games there, but I prefer keeping the SSD for Windows and a few essential programs instead of letting random files take up space. Also, I believe a fresh install after three years would be beneficial.
